dreams & origins

the idea for this exhibit was sparked into existence on a walk through seaton park in January 2025.

sat on the trunk of a fallen tree, i wrote a poem and took photos of the sunlight dancing through the trees.

a seed was sown and roots grew into these pages.

in the face of the climate & biodiversity crises, rising facism, exploitative processes, and a myriad of terrible acts it is so easy to burn out and be ripped apart into exhaustion.

the place of art in resistence is complex and powerful, and i am not going to pretend to have more than a small part to play in that.

a letter full of love is such a beautiful way to ground into gratitude, joy and community. all things that centre us in resistance and can support us to thrive.

may this exhibit be a drop of inspiration in a sea of content that reminds you why you are needed in our world.

dreams

i am so inspired by community and collective artwork. i love the idea of holding workshops scrapbooking, dreaming, and writing love letters to our nature together.

i have also daydreamed about a map bringing together ecology-inspired love letters written by friends across the world.

if you feel inspired by any of these dreams, i'd love to hear from you!
